I came to Kansas City after earning a degree in Economics from UW -
Madison. My wife and I soon discovered the established neighborhoods and
old home charm of Brookside. As the last nail was driven in our first
home I was told that our two daughters needed more room to play. So we
moved and the whole process started again.
Professionally, I have sold tools and equipment to the rail and
electrical power industries since 1984. In 2002, a friend asked if I
would make a kitchen cabinet to match their existing cabinets. This was
after they had asked for a cubby storage system for backpacks and soccer
shoes. Opportunity was knocking, and very soon I was in business.
My skills evolved in the many years I worked on my own homes. It helps
that I grew up with an appreciation of the aesthetic and a focused
attention to detail. I maintain a professional library (see Links),
subscribe to magazines that keep me apprised of new materials &
techniques and invest in high quality tools and equipment. All of this
helps me to work very efficiently.
One client referred me to his boss and 12 co-workers while another was
so thrilled with her bathroom that she sent a most touching Christmas
card. It is positive referrals like these and a reputation for
responsive craftsmanship that has helped my business grow.
